Having established our self in Bristol, a city full of innovation and culture we are perfectly located to build relationships with clients all across the country and even Europe.
We offer all clients, commercial or private a free design consultation and quote.
Commercially we have had the pleasure of working with all types of organisations ranging from individual business owners, interior designers, architects and property development companies. This has allowed us to stream line our process to meet the toughest of deadlines and budgets.
Privately we understand the commitment being made to furniture that needs to be practical, beautiful and satisfying. It is a big step to take buying your dream furniture so we will go out of our way to make sure your experience is a pleasant one.
No project is too small or too big. We love working in an ever changing world of technology and design, our training in traditional cabinet making combined with modern technology allows use to stay cutting edge and provide very high quality innovative furniture.
Adam Dorrofield
Co-founder & Director
As Co-Founder and Director, Adam plays a central role in both project and site management, as well as sales. He brings hands-on experience from a career that started at just 15 years old, working across kitchens, bespoke furniture, and joinery. Adam’s deep industry knowledge has made him an integral part of the Blackfields team. When not at work, he enjoys snowboarding, traveling, and time with his wife and kids.
Alex Black
Co-founder & Director
Alex is also a Co-Founder and Director of Blackfields, where he focuses on design innovation and project management. With a background that began in business studies at university, he later found his true passion in cabinet making and joinery, leading to the creation of Blackfields in 2016. Alex combines creative vision with practical leadership to drive the company’s design direction. Outside of work, he enjoys running, playing golf, and spending quality time with his wife and children.
Laurie Jones
Project Manager & CAD Designer
Laurie is a Project Manager and CAD Designer at Blackfields, known for his precision, creativity, and problem-solving approach. With a background in architecture, Laurie transitioned into a more hands-on and creative role in the workshop, joining Blackfields in 2021 as a joiner. He has since moved into a key office-based position where he helps bring client visions to life. Laurie enjoys rock climbing, reading, music, and cherishes time with his young family.
Harry O'Hagan
Cabinet Maker & Finisher
Harry joined Blackfields in 2018 and has worked across various parts of the business, eventually finding his niche in the finishing department. His natural creativity and eye for design make him a standout in the team, especially when it comes to detailed, high-quality finishes. Outside the workshop, Harry enjoys running, swimming, cooking, and drawing, always bringing his creative energy into everything he does.
Dan Cahill
Cabinet Maker & Joiner
Dan is a talented cabinet maker and joiner who started with Blackfields through a high school work experience program. Recognising his potential, the team offered him an apprenticeship at 16, and he has since grown into one of the company’s most skilled makers. Dan is a passionate Liverpool FC supporter and enjoys running, music festivals, and socializing with friends. His journey is a true Blackfields success story.
Jack Wyatts-Lynch
Trainee Cabinet Maker
Jack is a dedicated trainee cabinet maker who joined Blackfields after putting himself through college and impressing during a work experience placement. His drive and eagerness to learn quickly made him a valuable part of the team. Jack continues to grow his skills in the workshop and is an exciting talent to watch.
