Case Study: In collaoration with the University of Bristol: Our latest university fit-out project

In this blog post, we are taking a closer look at our latest fit-out project in collaboration with the University of Bristol (UoB), where we completed a new reception space within their on-site gym.

When the team at the University of Bristol approached us, they weren't just looking for a complete refurbishment, they needed a practical solution to a problem they had with their facilities. With a team of eight staff members sharing the space, the existing staff area no longer supported the demands of the facility and it's daily use.

A lack of dedicated lockers meant there was nowhere secure for staff to store their personal belongings during the working day. The workspace itself was equally challenging with no suitable desk area for administrative tasks to be conducted. On top of that, documents, equipment and other essential items had limited storage which made it difficult to keep the space organised and efficient.

The brief was to make better use of the available space by creating a staff area that provided both storage and admin responsibilities. Our solution focused on working with every inch of the space to create bespoke furniture designed around the team's specific requirements, introducing secure personal storage, practical workstations and integrated storage solutions that improved organisation without compromising the overall layout of the gym and encroaching beyond the established reception area.

We transformed an underperforming staff area into a functional, well-organised workspace that better supports the University's fitness team and the role they play in delivering services to students and staff members at the UoB gym every day.

We're proud to have ticked off another commercial project within the education sector, this time delivering a bespoke furniture project that creates a welcoming and professional space. Creating a commercial project can present a range of challenges, with university environments making no exception. We had to design and create a space that could withstand daily use with high quality finishes and we are proud to hit every area of the brief successfully.

As with all of our commercial work, every piece was designed and manufactured in our Bristol workshop before being expertly installed on site by our team. Our hands-on approach allows us to maintain complete control over quality throughout the entire process, ensuring every project meets the high standards our clients expect.
